For over 30 years, Imagine is the festival in The Netherlands for Fantastic Film, screening the best in fantastic cinema, as well as organizing masterclasses, panels, talks and exhibitions. Imagine is a founding member of the European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation (EFFFF) and draws an audience of over 17,000. Now in its 35th year, Imagine presents the best in fantasy, science fiction, horror, anime, martial arts and cult.

Imagine's main award, the Black Tulip Award for Best Fantastic Feature Film, is chosen from six competition films. As part of the EFFFF, Imagine presents the Silver Méliès for Best European Fantastic Feature Film and Short Film. A youth jury present the MovieZone Award. Additionally, all features are eligible for the Silver Scream Award from our audience.

For its 35th edition, which takes place from 10 to 20 April 2019, Imagine calls on short film, animation, documentary, and feature filmmakers working within the fantastic genre to submit their work.
