True horror lives at home in this demented horror story of fathers and sons.

A recently widowed mother and her son are trying to find their equilibrium and deal with their grief when a grotesque creature resembling their recently deceased husband/father invades their lives. Soon they must fight for their lives against ‘Daddy’.

Grief and horror combine in unusual ways when a family finds themselves at the mercy of dark forces mocking their sadness. British director Benjamin Barfoot’s exploration of the cosmic horror of a universe that simply does not care goes far beyond shallow horror, instead trapping us in a nightmarish vision in which we ourselves are unreliable beings to whom true horror is second nature. Dark and horrific, Daddy’s Head is the kind of squeamish and uneasy film to live under your skin permanently, giving you nightmares for a long time to come.
