A young woman must sacrifice all she knows to bring back her brother from outer space.
Elsa has been missing her brother Franck immensely since he disappeared during a mission to outer space. When she is contacted by an alien life form offering her a chance to bring Franck back, she’s ready to risk everything she holds dear to see him one last time.
Jérémy Clapin arrived on the scene with his animated debut J’ai perdu mon corps (2019) with great fanfare and this second feature proves that the accolades were well-deserved. Clapin's understanding of human emotion and his ability to depict the most delicate of feelings cinematically serves him incredibly well in a story that at first glance may seem simple but reveals a layer of moral and emotional complexity that makes most modern cinema fade by comparison. Incredible cinematography, fantastic use of animation and a great score all contribute to an experience that stays with you long after the credits roll.
