Metaphysical sci-fi mixed with time travel sees criminal siblings facing an unknown malicious force.

After a close-call robbery, estranged siblings Joseph and Sidney hide out at a farmhouse and discover they can travel in time thanks to a handwritten manual in their possession. But their journey is just beginning as soon they find themselves trapped in the property, besieged by unknown assailants.

Michael Felker’s directorial debut is an effective and tense science fiction thriller that shows there’s still a lot of life left in the archetypal time travel story. Drawing keen performances from the two leads, Felker creates a believable world in which the stakes are terrifyingly high. The human emotions at the core of his story keep us at the edge of our seats. A tight, taut and utterly mesmerizing first film with exquisite cinematography and terrific sound design, Things Will Be Different is a heralder of more great things to come.
