Genre fans have something to look forward to again! From the 28th of August until the 6th of September, the Imagine Film Festival will present a special hybrid edition of the festival with ten days of screenings, both online and in Kriterion and Eye in Amsterdam, as well as various additional online events. Imagine’s feature film programme will contain three world premieres, two of which are Dutch.
The preparations for the festival are in full swing, and even though this 36th edition of the festival will be on a smaller scale this year, it still promises to be a wonderful event for fans and filmmakers alike. In addition, a physical version of Imagine will take place at Kriterion and Eye.

The world premiere of Peet Gelderblom’s When Forever Dies will take place in Eye on 31 August. The film, which was partly made possible through crowdfunding, consists entirely of Eye archive material.
From the 4th until the 6th of September, Imagine will reside in Kriterion. On the programme there, amongst others, the world premiere of the Dutch Kill Mode by Thijs Meuwese and the Russian Sleepless Beauty by Pavel Khvaleev.
