Feature Film Comedy
The remains of the human race discover a secret world in the middle of the earth, in a sequel that is as hilarious as it is baffling.
After a nuclear war has destroyed the world, a small group of people manage to escape to the complex on the back of the moon that was abandoned by Nazis. Yet one of them pops up again, with news of a community in the middle of the earth.
It’s been seven years since Iron Sky (Imagine 2012) had its triumphant festival tour. In this sequel, we find the familiar characters from the first part in a rather hopeless situation. New additions are a Russian DIY-cosmonaut and a bunch of characters that are too weird and exuberant to reveal here. Udo Kier fans have his double role to look forward to and the Slovenian Laibach once again provides an excellent score. The final scene provides a big hint as to where the third part will take place, and we can only hope we don’t have to wait seven years for it.
