James vs His Future Self

A scientist has an unexpected visitor in a sweet and funny love story, with a warning to Big Tech.

Uptight and overly ambitious James is a scientist who is about to create the world’s first time machine. While he doesn’t know yet what it will bring, a surprise visitor issues a stern warning. When he reveals his true identity, James dismisses him as a lunatic. But the story isn’t over yet. A sweet and funny love story, with a warning to Big Tech.

Though the title of the film may give you a strong hint about who the mysterious visitor is, it makes his warning  no less urgent: ‘Your ego, your self-righteousness, it’s gonna smother all the other parts of your life. Love. Joy. Family. So I came back to stop you from making that mistake.’ Gradually, James starts to realise just how much things actually matter to him. You could see this film as a warning to Elon Musk and Big Tech, but it’s above all a sweet and funny love story, telling us that we should all pay closer mind to the things we love.
