Supernatural horror comedy from the people who brought us Wyrmwood excels in deadpan humour and outrageous monster action.

Howie and his buddy Rangi spend their days driving a sewage truck. Rangi gets hooked on a mobile AR game with ghosts and wraiths, that turns out to be a powerful soul-sucking device in the hands of demons. Only Howie will be able to stop them.

Nekrotronic started life as the proof of concept short Daemonrunner which screened at Imagine last year. This year it’s time for the full Monty, so brace yourself for even more zaniness from the guys who brought us Wyrmwood in 2015. It feels as if Beavis and Butthead hooked up with Charlie’s Angles to fight the Witches of Eastwick who are just about to design the Matrix. And it looks like Peter Jackson’s Braindead had a threesome with Power Rangers and Weird Science. In other words: Nekrotronic is just the shot of irreverent nonsense you so desperately were longing for.
