Friends, lovers, monsters: aren’t they all one and the same? Especially when one transforms into the other, often with unforeseeable consequences: husband turns into monster, human turns into animal, doll turns into human or robot turns into animal. Transforming from man to woman can be a wonderfully beautiful thing, while a confrontation with a mythical creature can lead to deep inner transformation.
In a 1980s run-down motel, a secret club of robot friends gather regularly to live out their dreams of becoming something else – they all want to be animals. On this particular night, they’re throwing a farewell party for one of them.
