The Imagine Film Festival calls on video game developers to submit their game for Imagine 2021
For over 30 years, the Imagine Film Festival has been the festival for Fantastic Film in The Netherlands. Next to regular cinema, we also host a VR competition and since 2019 we have a dedicated ‘Expanded’section, comprising VR, games, interactive productions and talks.
For the 37th edition of the festival, Imagine Film Festival is calling on Dutch and Flemish game developers who create games within the fantastic genre to submit their games.
The selected game developers will present their games during the festival programme called ‘Level Up. They will screen a short demo video (3-6 minutes) with material from their game, showing how they incorporated the fantastic genre and give a short interview. After the screening, the audience will get the opportunity to play the actual game or a demo version.
Next to ‘Level Up’, we’re also planning to shine a light on non-Western game developers. We’re especially looking for games (in development) that have a link to our ‘Myths from Around the World’ theme, and games from Indonesia – but will consider any relevant non-Western game that fits the general ‘fantastic’ criteria. Next to showcasing demos we’re planning an online panel plus mixer events. Submitting your game can be done via the same entry form below.
Note: due to Covid-19 measures, there’s a possibility that the showcase will be hosted as an online event!
